Help bring Naomi home by being a part of the Puzzle!

As the time draws near for us to bring our daughter home, we are ever aware of how much money will soon be needed. We were asked point blank last night how much we were going to need. So, we sat down & just figured it up.  The airfare to & from China for the 5 of us (6 upon return :) will be approximately $6-7,000 (maybe more). The in-China expenses (3 hotels, 2 flights, food, adoption registration & notarization, Naomi's passport, visa, & physical) will be approximately $7-8,000. Then there is an orphanage fee of $5000.  So, we are looking at needing anywhere from $18-20,000........ gasp.  This is the first time really we've written it down on paper.  It is quite daunting to think about.  BUT GOD.  He has led us hand in hand on this journey & we totally trust Him to see us through to the very end....down to the last penny :)

YOU, the hands & feet of Jesus can help though! We (through our amazing church) have purchased a 1000 piece puzzle of a photo of Naomi.  We are asking YOU to sponsor a piece for $5.00 each.  We will then write your name on the back of that puzzle piece.  When all pieces have been sponsored, we will frame the puzzle in a glass frame & hang it in Naomi's room.  That way, she will be able to SEE how many people loved her & had a hand in helping bring her home to her forever family.

If you would like to be a part of the Puzzle, you can mail a check to 1011 Jamie Cove, New Albany, MS 38652 with each name listed to be written on each puzzle piece.  OR, you can simply click the donate tab on the right of this post & pay through paypal with one click. Please specify the name(s) to be listed on each puzzle piece purchased.  Thank you so much in advance for being the hands & feet of Jesus.  I cannot wait to share with Naomi in the years to come just how many people loved her & helped her get home :)

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.  John 14:18

Me, in a tizzy

I recieved this email from a friend this morning.  It was in good ole' God fashion EXACTLY what I needed to hear. I have really been struggling with "the wait" lately.  Even though we have our LOA, it still will likely be late March or April even before we travel. And it is so hard comparing our "wait" with others' "wait"... especially when their's doesn't seem quite so long.   I worry that we won't even have her on her birthday.  It is all totally out of my control..... and that is the hardest thing EVER for me. Anyway, God clearly spoke to me this morning through my friend.  He is in TOTAL control in ALL things.  And He knows whats best.
I felt compelled to share...

A good reminder to always give thanks in ALL things...

Me (in a tizzy):  God, can I ask you something?

GOD:  Sure.

Me:  Promise you won't get mad?

GOD:  I promise.

Me (frustrated): Why did you let so much stuff happen to me today?

GOD: What do you mean?

Me: Well I woke up late,

GOD: Yes..

Me: My car took forever to start,

GOD: Okay....

Me (growling): At lunch, they made my sandwich wrong and I had to wait.

GOD: Hmmmm..

Me: On the way home, my phone went dead, just as I picked up a call.

GOD: All right.

Me (loudly): And to top it all off, when I got home, I just wanted to soak
my feet in my foot massager and relax, but it wouldn't work.
Nothing went right today! Why did you do that?!

GOD: Well, let me see..... the death angel was at your bed this morning and
I had to send one of the other angels to battle him for your life. I let you
 sleep through that.

Me (humbled):  Oh...

GOD:  I didn't let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your
route who might have hit you if you were on the road.

Me (ashamed): ............

GOD:  The first person who made your sandwich today was sick and I didn't
want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn't afford to miss work.

Me (embarrassed):  Oh.....

GOD:  Your phone went dead because the person who was calling was going to
give a false witness about what you said on that call. I didn't even let you
talk to them so you would be covered.

Me (softly):  I see, God.

GOD:  Oh and that foot massager, it had a short that was going to throw out
all of the power in your house tonight. I didn't think you wanted to be in
 the dark.

Me:  I'm sorry God.

GOD:  Don't be sorry, just learn to trust me.........in all things, the good
 and the bad.

Me:  I WILL trust you God.

GOD:  And don't doubt that my plan for your day is always better than your
 plan.

Me:  I won't God. And let me just tell you God, thank you for everything
 today.

GOD:  You're welcome, child. It was just another day being your God and I
 love looking after my children.
